WHO WE ARE



On November 8, 2022, the people of the Northern Marianas will have the opportunity to choose good governance and leadership they can trust, by casting their votes for the Democratic gubernatorial team of Christina (Tina) Sablan for governor and Leila Fleming Staffler for lieutenant governor.



Tina Sablan is a three-term representative in the commonwealth legislature, a former staffer in our U.S. congressional office, and a former journalist. She currently chairs the Health and Welfare Committee in the CNMI House of Representatives.


MEET TINA

Leila Staffler is a seasoned educator, with twenty years of experience in teaching and administration in our public school system. She was first elected to the CNMI House of Representatives in 2020, and now chairs the Education Committee.


MEET LEILA

Together, Tina and Leila bring nearly forty years of experience in public service and leadership in the Northern Marianas.


Tina and Leila both have long records of community organizing and advocacy on issues spanning transparency and accountability in government, health, environmental protection, education, and social justice.


Both hold master’s degrees – Tina’s in urban and regional planning, and Leila’s in educational leadership.


Both are ready to serve the people of the Marianas as governor and lieutenant governor.


Both will continue to lead with integrity, compassion, and respect for the rule of law.
